| Nom de l’entreprise | Astrid Arts & Heritage Consulting |
| Titre | Executive and Board Coach |
| Description | Astrid Heyerdahl is an arts and heritage consultant, former Executive Director, curator, educator, and trained coach with 20 years of experience in the GLAM sector. She supports museums, galleries, archives, arts councils, and heritage organizations with strategic planning, governance, grant writing, change management, leadership coaching, AI-supported capacity building, and organizational development. Astrid’s work is grounded in a deep belief in the public value of cultural organizations as places where communities gather, question, learn, preserve memory, and work toward a more equitable future together. Having held roles as Executive Director, Board Member, Curator, Educational Programmer, and heritage project manager, she understands the complexity of cultural leadership, including funding pressure, staff capacity, board relations, succession planning, community expectations, reconciliation work, and the emotional weight often carried by leaders. Her approach is collaborative and practical. She works alongside Executive Directors, boards, and teams not to impose an outside vision, but to strengthen the vision already guiding the organization. Her work is informed by contemporary museology, equity-centred practice, UNDRIP, the TRC Calls to Action, and sectoral EDI commitments. Astrid holds an Honours BA in Visual Arts, a Master of Art History, and a Master of Education specializing in museum pedagogy. Over the past two years, she has deepened her training in executive and life coaching, trauma-informed practice, somatic approaches, AI integration, and people-centred leadership. Astrid works primarily remotely, using online tools and platforms to support clients across Canada. |
