The SOCAN Foundation is seeking a consultant who can work expeditiously with the staff and Board to establish a 2022-2027 strategy plan for SOCAN Foundation. Created in 1992, the SOCAN Foundation is devoted to fostering and promoting music creation in Canada and encouraging a better understanding of the role of creators in our society. The SOCAN Foundation is part of the SOCAN Group and governed by its own board of directors made up of authors, composers and publishers who are a reflection of the diversity of classical concert and popular music as well as of Canada’s geographic and linguistic diversity. It is anticipated that in preparing this five-year strategic plan, the consultant will conduct research, interviews, surveys and/or any other methods that will be useful in receiving stakeholder and community input. More detailed information can be found on the attached description but it is worth noting that the project must be completed by April 1, 2022.
