Formed in 1992, Singing Out is Toronto’s LGBTQ+ Chorus with over 120 singers strong. The organization is growing rapidly and requires multi-year financial planning to support the strategic plan.
Singing Out is Toronto’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Community Chorus. We are a mixed-voice, non-auditioned chorus – a relative rarity in LGBTQ communities across North America. But Singing Out is more than just a choir. Above all, Singing Out is a community. Our mission is PRIDE. MUSIC. BELONGING. We are proud of who we are, of our history, and of our accomplishments. We show our pride through music that entertains as it speaks to us and about us, to our audiences, and to the wider community. We create a warm and welcoming space where everyone who enjoys singing and learning can find a place to belong and have fun. We welcome different levels of experience, as well as diverse backgrounds and identities. We sing together, and we sing out.
