This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is an invitation by the Province of Nova Scotia (the “Province”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Services of a Researcher and Writer for Nova Scotia Museum’s Canada 150 Exhibit, as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”).
The Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage (CCH) is responsible for contributing to the well-being and prosperity of Nova Scotia’s diverse and creative communities through the promotion, development, preservation and celebration of our culture, heritage, identity and languages, and; by providing leadership, expertise and innovation to our stakeholders.
2017 Canada will mark the 150th anniversary of Confederation. Nova Scotia has always been a place rich in culture and heritage and the Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage is encouraging the culture community to take the lead in helping Nova Scotians celebrate this significant milestone.
CCH is seeking the services an experienced professional historian to provide research and writing services for the Nova Scotia Museum’s Canada 150 Exhibit. The exhibit will be aimed at the museum visitor audience for the Nova Scotia Museum’s Canada 150 travelling exhibit celebrating Nova Scotians and their contributions since Confederation. The exhibit will launch in 2017 at the Museum of Natural History and travel to other locations.
