The Museums of Burlington is a charitable non-profit organization comprised of two community Museums, the Joseph Brant Museum and Ireland House Museum. The organization is managed by a governing Board of Directors and led by an Executive Director and a small but dynamic team consisting of 7 full-time and 4 part-time employees. The Museums receive financial support from the City of Burlington with the remaining operational funds obtained through earned revenue and grants.
The Museums play an important role in Burlington by providing a sense of community as well as celebrating and exploring our collective heritage. The Museums present interactive exhibitions, offers inclusive public events and creates a variety of alternative based learning opportunities for children through our school programs
The Museums of Burlington is seeking proposals from qualified consultants or consultant teams to lead in the development of a new comprehensive strategic plan that will guide the Museums’ priorities and direction over the next 3 – 5 years.
