Let’s Talk About It:
How to Return – Reimagining “Normal”
Tuesday, July 21st at 2:00 pm Atlantic / 1:00 pm Eastern / 10:00 am Pacific
COVID-19 has shut down arts and culture organizations across the country. As our galleries, museums, studios, rehearsal halls and (eventually) performing arts centres begin to reopen, ACCA Members are being called upon for guidance.
Reopening plans must be customized to reflect the unique needs, challenges and opportunities for each arts and cultural organization. As COVID-19 guidance evolves, we’ll talk about what to believe and what to consider as your clients refine their plans. Join Janis Barlow and Janet Sellery as they explore resources and ideas for reopening with an emphasis on safety and minimizing risk.
ACCA Member and co-Founder, Janis Barlow, of Janis A Barlow & Associates, is a consultant in arts and heritage resource management, specializing in the development of cultural resources and, in particular, the design and management of theatres for the performing arts. Her background combines comprehensive project planning and management experience. Her practical experience embraces the full range of technical, artistic and administrative roles.
Janet Sellery, of Sellery Health + Safety, built on her experience managing health and safety for the opening, closing and victory ceremonies for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics to become recognized as one of Canada’s leading experts in health and safety for the arts. Before opening her own consultancy, Janet spent nine years pioneering a health and safety program for the Stratford Festival. This program is now recognized as the “gold standard” for theatres across Canada.
Please plan to join this online discussion – for members only. We will not be recording this session as we want members to be able to speak and ask questions freely.
