Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design (the Centre) is considering developing a working partnership with Inverness County Centre for the Arts (ICCA). At this time, we are inviting qualified consulting firms to submit proposals to undertake a comprehensive assessment of factors impacting both the Centre’s and ICCA’s current and future operations, the resources required to develop and maintain a strategic alliance, and possible operating and governance structures.
The primary objectives of this exercise are:
• To carry out a comprehensive business assessment of all aspects of Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design and Inverness County Centre for the Arts operations to determine what funding is required to ensure a sustainable partnership between the two organizations AND to determine the organizational structure needed to oversee such a partnership
• To develop a plan and recommendations that clearly addresses the long-term sustainability of the partnership
The successful consultant will work with a Steering Committee to be selected by Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design to undertake a comprehensive assessment of the Centre and ICCA and to develop recommendations for the two organizations to partner. It is expected that the proponent will consult at a minimum with the board, staff, and funding agencies of both organizations.
The proposed study will include, but is not limited to:
– A comprehensive assessment of Centre’s and ICCA’s management, current operations, performance, key issues, and future prospects.
– A clear set of recommendations to strengthen the Centre’s working partnership with ICCA including funding requirements, potential sources of new revenue, as well as astrategy for implementation.
-Based on above, development of a detailed implementation plan.
There will be a mandatory briefing for all proponents prior to submission of proposals. July 31st, 2019 at 10:00AM. Proponents can participate by phone, in person, or Zoom
