DTRC: An Dance Organization in Transition

The Dancer Transition Resource Centre (DTRC) is looking to procure strategic planning services. Founded in 1985, the Dancer Transition Resource Centre (DTRC) is a national, charitable organization dedicated to helping dancers make necessary transitions into, within, and from professional performing careers. We also operate as a resource centre for the dance community and general public and support activities that improve the socioeconomic conditions of artists across the country. Dancer Transition Resource Centre

Founded in 1985, the Dancer Transition Resource Centre (DTRC) is the only organization in Canada dedicated to helping dancers make necessary transitions into, within and from professional performing careers.
www.dtrc.ca As a world leader in dancer transition, we are active participants in international conferences and research initiatives and help drive change within the dance community.

We are requesting a proposal for services based on the following specifications:

• Review of the current strategic plan and draft foundational principles

• Profile and situational assessment (assessment of current state and key issues facing the DTRC)

• Set strategic priorities for the next 1-3 years

• Creation of implementation tools for the DTRC to follow

Desired Strategic Planning Outcomes:

• Revision and update of foundational principles, strategic priorities, goals and outcome measures

• Development of a medium-term perspective, and capabilities to enable proactive response to community needs

• Creation of a Community Outreach Framework to ensure effective engagement with members, alumni, donors, partners, key stakeholders, and the Canadian dance community including a tool to help with implementation.

Proposed project timeline:

We have a Board meeting on June 23rd, 2021 at which we would ideally approve this plan.
