Arts Facilities Plan Consulting Services
The District of West Vancouver (‘The District’) invites submissions of Expression of Interest (EOI) from qualified and experienced firms interested in providing consulting services to prepare a comprehensive arts and culture facilities plan.
Overview: West Vancouver has recently completed an Arts & Culture Strategy. One of the key priorities identified in the Strategy is to complete a comprehensive Arts Facilities Plan that considers the community’s need for exhibition, performance, storage, workshop/studio and programming spaces as well as a review of arts and culture facilities that are District, public or privately owned in order to identify current and future facility needs of the arts and culture sector.
The Arts Facilities Plan will provide the framework and direction to meet the community’s arts facility needs. The Arts Facilities Plan will be based on a foundation of previous arts and culture facility planning that has been completed by or for the District over the past 10 years, and will also represent new ideas and input from the West Vancouver community, arts organizations, the Arts and Culture Advisory Committee, Arts Facilities Advisory Committee, Mayor and Council, and staff.
The 2018 Arts & Culture Strategy provides the policy and direction for the Arts Facilities Plan. The Arts Facilities Plan, as identified in the Strategy, will consider the demand for arts and culture programming and services, growth and evolution of artistic practices and audiences, types of spaces for co-location as well as physical, administrative governance, and capital and operating funding needs.
