Dene Nahjo: Strategy and/or Marketing Consultant for an Indigenous Innovation and Arts Collective

Dene Nahjo is a Dene innovation and arts collective based out of Denendeh (the Northwest Territories). We deliver programs designed to support innovation in Indigenous art, governance, land-based learning, and public policy. A lot of our work is funded through grants, however we also generate revenue through our Indigenous facilitation services for meetings, gatherings, and events that align with our purpose. Currently, our facilitation services are only engaged sporadically and promoted by word-of-mouth. We do not have a dedicated staff member to oversee this aspect of our work and to take on facilitation contracts. We want to build out Dene Nahjo’s fee-for-service facilitation into a sustainable, revenue-generating social enterprise that could support at least one full-time staff person to oversee and manage it. Any profits generated through this enterprise would serve as additional funding for Dene Nahjo’s charitable operation programming. To advance this work, we have two projects for which we are looking for consultants/service providers, one concerning business strategy and planning and another concerning marketing strategy and materials. These projects may be completed independently by different service providers or as a combined project from one service provider.
