The Corporation of the County of Grey (located in Southwestern Ontario) is seeking professional services to develop a Strategic Plan for Grey Roots Museum and Archives, to provide direction for its operation and growth for the next four years.
The Strategic Plan will provide a clear roadmap for the optimal future of Grey Roots, with specific goals and measurable objectives, and specific tasks to be carried out to achieve them.
The study will have the capacity to provide a framework for future Council decisions relating to operating and capital budgets and will recommend an organizational structure for staffing at Grey Roots Museum and Archives.
This proposed study and strategic plan should analyze the opportunities and challenges before Grey Roots and guide it in the development of a vision, mission and values that respects and aligns with the County’s brand. The study will develop key goals and objectives for Grey Roots to pursue, that will ensure that it is both relevant and sustainable into the future. In particular, fundraising and sponsorship will be addressed as well as identifying best practices in museums and archives to remain relevant, sustainable and community oriented. The study will identify the staff organizational structure necessary to achieve the identified goals and objectives while recognizing fiscal realities.
