Feasibility Study for the Civic Centre and Civic Theatre to convert single screen theatre to a 3 screen venue and provision for the theatre to become a media arts and learning centre. Council supported this direction and asked to consider whether the facility could also be used as a conference centre. The first critical step is to conduct a feasibility study to test the viability of a conference centre in the city of Nelson and whether the Civic Theatre and/or Civic Centre is the right venue for it.
