The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to engage the professional services of a highly qualified, experienced, and knowledgeable Consultant / Consulting Firm to develop a Major Event Attraction Strategy and Action Plan that will position Moncton as a major events destination, with a sustainable calendar of major events that will attract more visitors, maximize the economic benefits arising from hosting major events, and enhance Moncton’s international profile and reputation. Event Attraction is defined as the act of bidding on and hosting large events in the areas of sport tourism, business, arts and culture, and entertainment (concerts) that will bring significant economic and / or social impact to the community.
