The 10 Digit Technology: Digital Strategies project is a multi-phase, national initiative designed to support Canadian craft organizations in their digital transformation journey. The core deliverable of Phase Two: Design & Development will be a Digital Transformation Strategy Roadmap including identifying and defining the scope for a minimal viable product (MVP). Subject to change based on recommendations of the successful supplier, the supplier would ask be asked to deliver the following inputs to support the development of the roadmap; CCF/FCMA Digital Maturity Assessment, CCF/FCMA Digital Needs Assessment, Digital Maturity & Needs Assessments for our members (Provincial and Territorial Craft Councils), Competitor Analysis, User Journey Assessments, and Delivery or partnering in the development and/or delivery of Craft specific Digital Literacy Workshops and/or Training.
We’ve identified four key areas of need to be addressed as a sector: A) An overarching COMMITMENT to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), prioritizing the importance of inclusion at every level, B) IMPROVED Data Collection, Management & Collaboration, to increase the effectiveness and cohesion of our efforts across the country, C) APPLICABLE digital literacy skills improvement activities, tools & guides specific to craft organizations, and D) ADAPT Craft Council programming to be more attractive to new members, specifically emerging craft artists and emerging craft consumers.
These four goals require review and creative approaches to shift not only the technology used to conduct the work, but also a core transformation of what we do and how, as well as training for our staff, in order to effectively communicate and reach a broader audience. A successful outcome of this project will address our internal needs as an organization, our members’ (Provincial and Territorial Craft Councils) needs, as well as collectively across the country, as a network.
