CADA-ON: Addressing Harassment in Our Professional Standards for Dance

Call for Consultations

Since 2017, CADA-ON has taken a new approach to our Professional Standards for Dance (PSD), treating this as a collection of living documents that we aim to edit, updated, and re-shape on an ongoing basis, in direct response to our evolving sector.

Recently, CADA-ON has been working to address harassment in the performing arts on a number of fronts, and we’re now taking on the task of revising the section of our PSD that concerns this issue. It is essential for our dance communities to be involved in this process, and for the needs of survivors to be at the centre of it. We’re putting out a call to our membership and community for individuals who would like to participate in updating our PSD’s section on harassment, through paid consultations.

If you are interested in working as a paid community consultant alongside CADA-ON’s Board Members and staff on this important project, please email office@cada-on.ca with your bio, and with a short paragraph answering the question, “why is updating the PSD’s section on harassment important to you?”

Commitments of time will be relatively minimal, and, did we mention it’s paid!? Based on responses, we will convene a series of meetings with selected participants. Please submit your expressions of interest by April 24, 2019.
