Consulting Goals

I aim to support revenue development and strategic and business planning functions of arts organizations, artists and collectives so they can be paid for their professional work, and their work can be shared with their publics.

Your Experience

Since I'm on faculty at Humber College, my consulting work has been conducted mostly during my annual leave months of July and August, with intermittent short contracts and "one-offs" during the academic year. In the summer of 2023 I assisted Mixed Company Theatre with business development over the summer months. Over my winter break I "subbed" with Young Associates to support their contract with Factory Theatre, analying funding and revenue trends pre-, during and post-pandemic, to assist with their business planning. In the winter I also gave an online workshop for Huron County on revenue development in small urban and rural environments. For summer 2024 I am working with colleague Jerry Smith to assist Theatre on The Ridge in Port Perry with Board development and strategic, business and development planning, and this contract runs to March 2025. I will be primarily involved while not fully occupied with learners at Humber.
