Roger Gaudet BFA, PMP In his 30 year career in the Canadian arts sector, Roger Gaudet has played a leadership role in the design and implementation of national programs to support creativity, excellence, access and innovation. He has gained considerable experience in developing, evaluating and revising public programs of support to the arts. He is a data storyteller, interested in data analysis, interpretation and reporting. With the Canada Council for the Arts, he facilitated the early development of the most recent generation of outcomes-based programs. He conducted community consultations that led to the design and implementation of programs to stimulate innovation and access in the arts. He guided the Canada Council through a transition in senior leadership and built staff and stakeholder buy-in for a renewed vision. With the Department of Canadian Heritage, he was a key contributor in the design and implementation of the Canada Arts Presentation Fund and the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund, developing the eligibility and assessment criteria, the program guidelines and application form, as well as the performance evaluation framework. Roger Gaudet is a skilled communicator in both official languages. He has successfully facilitated group discussion and decision-making processes in many different contexts in both English and French. He is adept at translating group discussion and consensus into concrete action plans. He has developed and delivered training and professional development workshops for artists, managers, and cultural workers, and has extensive experience working collaboratively with different levels of government, with foundations and with community groups. He also has experience in the development of strategies to meet the specific needs of underserved communities. In his work as a consultant, Roger has branched out in other sectors beyond the arts, and has done data analysis and strategic planning for Tides Canada, Environment and Climate Change Canada, Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, provided facilitation services to Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada, Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami, Canada Food Inspection Agency, Employment and Social Development Canada, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Natural Resources Canada, National Research Council, Indigenous Services Canada, Transport Canada, Office of the Privacy Commissioner, Public Health Agency of Canada and Dairy Farmers of Canada. He has also provided training to Employment and Social Development Canada (Design Thinking), Administrative Tribunals Support Services Canada (Service Excellence), Defence Construction Canada (Infrastructure Partnership Workshops), and the City of Ottawa (Communications Effectiveness). Roger Gaudet holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Victoria, a Directing Program Diploma from the National Theatre School of Canada and a Master's Certificate in Project Management from Carleton University.
