Biographical Info
Don Bourgeois has developed a strong practice serving charitable and not-for-profit organizations. Don is one of Canada's leading experts on the law with respect to charitable and not-for-profit organizations. He is the author of several texts that provide legal, strategic and practical advice to organizations and their directors and senior managers, including The Law of Charitable and Not-for-Profit Organizations, Charities and Not-for-Profit Fundraising Handbook, and Charities and Not-for-Profit Administration and Governance Handbook. He is also a regular speaker at conferences and workshops on this subject, for both legal and non-legal audiences. His consulting practice has involved organizational reviews and strategic planning. As a former member and chair of Compass Kitchener and similar committees, Don is also experienced in public consultations, in particular at the municipal level.
