Cheryl Ewing is actively involved as a consultant and volunteer and is keenly interested in the development of a healthy community where culture is a valued element. As a senior manager, she has worked for festivals, arts organizations and municipal government, providing her with a good understanding of the various sectors. In addition, she has served on the executive of CCI Ontario Presenting Network, Waterloo Busker Carnival and was Chair of Ontario Contact Planning Committee. Cheryl wrote a performing arts manual for young audiences, Raising the Curtain. As a consultant, Cheryl enjoys working with smaller arts organizations to help them develop best practices. She is also an excellent proposal writer and has extensive special event and marketing experience. Throughout her career, Cheryl has been active in the development of audience development initiatives that continue today, including Roundabout Theatre (Waterloo), Linamar for the Performing Arts (River Run Centre, Guelph) and eyeGO to the Arts which is now expanding nationally.
