The Arts Firm Inc.
Team contracts, Sounding Board coaching, ArtsBoost learning
Managing Director / Project Manager for various clients that include a cultural export analysis for a provincial agency, digital strategy and marketing plans for small to mid-sized symphony orchestras and theatres, online course creation and delivery for a university continuing education program, a major bi-lingual member resource site for a national members service organization.
Founded in 2018, The Arts Firm attracts consultants with deep expertise in producing and managing within the Canadian arts sector. We work with clients on consulting projects, Sounding Board coaching, and ArtsBoost online learning (live cohort and/or self-directed). I am known for strategic integration of new ideas and technology, creating collaborative partnerships and teams that excel, and developing organizations with good governance, sound strategy and sustainable finances. For 20 years I was a performing arts chief executive, with a focus on Canadian symphony orchestras, some early experience in theatre, and later leadership roles in the screen industry. Specifically, I was hired to manage Screen Nova Scotia's ambitious transition from member organization to provincial film commission. I have national non-profit board experience and have represented clients at international markets and events and look forward to continuing to work with interesting people, solving challenging problems, and building creative opportunities.
