Norman Armour is a Vancouver-based non-profit arts specialist with 35 years of experience. For the past five years he served as the Australia Council’s International Engagement Consultant for North America and consults with a wide range of clients, specializing in scenario planning, business strategy, proposal writing and development, in addition to international engagement, touring, residency and exchange. Since graduating from SFU’s interdisciplinary School for the Contemporary Arts in 1986, he has collaborated on over 120 works for the stage and other media that encompass a wide range of creative interests across various art forms, genres, contexts and mediums. In 2005, he co-founded the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival, serving as its Artistic and Executive Director for 14 years. Prior to that, he established Rumble Theatre as a mainstay of the city’s thriving independent theatre scene. In 2019, he received an Honorary Doctorate of Letters from his alma mater, where he teaches Creative Entrepreneurship with Dani Fecko and Kenji Maeda.
