Ann Connors is the former Managing Consultant/Producer for Terra Bruce Productions, Inc, where she recently led the 30 member, 9 city, 4 month tour of the new Newfoundland musical production ‘No Change in the Weather. Terra Bruce Productions, inc is a commercial production company which creates musical theatre, video and film projects and in her role, Ann is building the member Resident company from the ground up. Under her leadership, the Company has created a studio rehearsal space, a full recording studio and the development of a new 325 seat performing arts venue in St. John's, NL. In 2020, the Province of Newfoundland Labrador appointed Ann to the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council (ARTSNL). She currently serves as the Theatre representative and chairs the Policy Committee. Ann is the former Managing Director of One Yellow Rabbit and Curator of the High-Performance Rodeo, Calgary’s International Festival of the Arts and the former Managing Director of Canada’s Magnetic North Theatre Festival. In April of 2018, Ann returned to Newfoundland to lead the opening of the newly created St. John’s Community Market – home of the St. John’s Farmers Market. Her career as a administer, producer and presenter in the performing arts in Canada spans over 20 years. She has produced over 30 new Canadian plays; has presented 100’s of new national and internationals productions and has toured work throughout Canada and internationally. She has served as a Board/committee member for many organizations across the country; on many national and international initiatives that serve the performing arts across the country and on many peer assessment juries for the Canada Council of the Arts, the Ontario Arts Council and several municipal councils.
